The Tiki Talk Show
Our love for tiki and its lavish history led us back to where it always does: a good drink shared over great conversation. And what is one to do when Maryland’s tiki desert leads to a longing for the stories swapped with strangers over Mai Tais on False Idol’s bar stools? Why start a podcast, of course!
Thus, The Tiki Talk Show was born. Down in our little home tiki bar we are able to be transported across the country (via video chat) to share a drink with a stranger, soon to be a friend, and listen to them recount their stories about the tiki revival that started when we were mere children.
Join us every other Friday as we sit down with those individuals who resurrected tiki from the bargain bins of the past and those who change and influence the Polynesian Pop culture of today. Grab your drink of choice and relax with a new (or old) friend.
Also highlighted in our Tiki Talk Show interviews are artists who share their time and talents with the tiki community by way of the amazing art, music, and decor pieces they craft. The Artist Spotlight lets smaller artists and creators step out of the shadows and into the limelight.
