The Kona Cove –
Maryland Edition
From intrigue to interest to a full-blow love affair, Polynesian Pop has become a big part of our lives. We lived in San Diego County where the plastic paradise of the past is synonymous with the Southern California lifestyle. However, the sun had to set on our time on the West Coast, so we packed our tiki collection and moved to America’s Eastern shores.
Now in Maryland, the Kona Cove has expanded beyond its humble beginnings into a bona fide home bar. While the Old Line State may not be known as a hub of tiki culture and history, it is here that our Californian foundations have transformed into a life of their own.
The Tiki Talk Show

Sitting back on the couch with a good drink and a great conversation is how many of us tikiphiles pass our evenings. When the conversation inevitably turns tiki, we often find ourselves sharing stories. This exchange of stories and chronicle of tiki history is why we started The Tiki Talk Show Podcast.
Every other Friday, sit back, grab yourself a libation of choice, and join us as we talk with other tiki lovers who have had a hand in preserving tiki’s history and creating the future of Polynesian Pop.
Tiki Today

Tiki Today is the newest project from The Tiki Talk Show Studio. This YouTube only series is centered on the tiki scene of today. Some of us may dream of a lone island just beyond view, but until we can find it, we congregate across the world to share stories and drink. Tiki Today is about our meeting huts in the hidden caves of our basements or the more accesible palaces that illuminate concrete cities with their torches.
In this series, Ryley will cover tiki groups, meet-ups, events and more to help the new converts guide themselves to new ohana. This story is yours: your groups, your events, and your experiences.
